pin   Matthew Pinnt receives Sottish Rite Distinguished Scholar Award

Matthew Pinnt has been awarded the Scottish Rite Distinguished Scholar Award by the World-Herald for the 2006/07 school year. Matthew is a graduate of Omaha North High School and will be entering UNO this fall as a mathematics major. The Scottish Rite Scholarship consists of a Regents and cash award that is renewable for up to 4 years and is a part of the University Honors Program.
pin   Dora Matache receives Kerrigan Award for Excellence in Teaching

Dr. Dora Matache has just been given the annual Kerrigan Award in recognition of her outstanding performanace in teaching and teaching related activities. Her Ph.D. is in applied mathematics and she does research in random Boolean Networks and dynamical systems. The Kerrigan Award is named after Mr. Patrick Kerrigan, BA 1973, who is a good friend of the Mathematics Department.
