In February of their senior year, high school seniors who applied to UNO before February 1st and have been accepted, rank in the top 10% of their class, and have an ACT score of 26 or higher are invited to take the Distinguished Scholarship Competition.
The Distinguished Scholarship Competition serves two purposes. First, it is used as the basis for awarding full tuition scholarships to the five top scorers on the exam. Second, it serves as a substitute for the English Placement Test for composition courses.
We strongly encourage you to apply for the following fellowships and scholarships from outside the university. Please contact us if you need any more information.
