The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) invites applications and nominations of outstanding applicants for the position of Director of the UNO University Honors Program, a 12-month, tenured/tenure-track, academic administrative appointment, beginning July 1, 2014 (or negotiable).
The UNO Honors Program serves over 500 extraordinarily talented undergraduate students from all academic colleges and majors. Honors only courses, undergraduate research, academic service learning and student-designed service opportunities, and student involvement with both curriculum development and in planning social and cultural events are integral components of the program.
The Director of the UNO Honors Program will develop, strengthen, and promote the UNO Honors Program and its students within the university as well as to external constituents. The Director will be the institutional leader responsible for managing the operations of the program as well as maintaining and expanding best practices in recruitment, retention, curricular and co-curricular activities.
