Welcome to the UNO Honors Program!

Whether you are a high school student, a transfer student, or currently a student at UNO, we invite you to consider participating in the Honors Program. Be sure to check out the 'Advantages of Membership' and 'Program Requirements' pages, which detail the benefits and requirements of participation in the Honors Program. Once you've seen all we have to offer, don't forget to fill out an application!

Click on the "Apply Now!" button in order to fill out your application for admission online.

Current Honors Students

Spring 2013 Semester Reminders:

The first speaker of the semester will be Mr. Cory Leineman, Thrivent Financial, providing financial information and advice for students on Wednesday, January 16th, at 5:00 p.m. in the Maverick Village Clubhouse.  Pizza and soda will be provided!  0.3 hours Honors credit per speaker attended – be sure to sign in!

Honors contracts are available online and in the Honors office.  The forms are due in the Honors office by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8th, 2013!

Students may sign up anytime as Volunteer tutors for UNO students.  Please give or send your application to Mrs. McIvor.  She will add it to the list on our website.  20 volunteer hours = 3 Honors hours.

The Spring Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, February 14, at the Student Center.  Sign-ups for volunteer help and donations will be emailed before the end of the month.

Early registration, on March 5th, will be available to Honors students with GPAs at 3.25 and above who are enrolled in an Honors course or contracted for Honors credit in the Spring 2013 semester.

If you plan to graduate in May, 2013, please provide your name, major, and senior thesis or project topic to the Honors office by February 8th.

There is a blue button on the Mavlink home page as well as the Current Students page that says "Search for Classes." Click the button, enter Spring 2013or the class term, click Go. The next page has 5 selection buttons. Click the Special Programs button only, find Honors Program, and click Go.

Faculty

The Honors Program is searching for current and recent undergraduate research activities, senior projects, or capstone projects in all disciplines for inclusion in the 2010-2011 Undergraduate Research Survey. Please complete the UGR Survey form and Submit. Thank you!
