Writing Center Policies
Arrive 5 minutes early for your appointment so you have time to sign in. If you are late, you may lose your appointment time. If you are not in the center, your writing consultant is obligated to work with students waiting for assistance.
Cancel reservations 24 hours in advance. If you cannot come to your appointment, you must cancel it by clicking “My Control Panel” on the main appointment screen and deleting the appointment. If you do not cancel, you are considered a “no-show.” After two no-shows in any one semester, you will lose the privilege of scheduling appointments. Do not expect to drop off papers for editing. Writing Center consultants will not proofread or edit papers for you; however, we will help you develop editing skills to better proofread your own work.
Turn off your cell phone before entering the Writing Center, and be considerate of your writing consultant and others in the center during your appointment. |
