During the summer, we are open only in the Criss Library satellite, near the Circulation Desk. Consultations are on a walk-in basis (no appointments).

 

The appointment policies described below apply during the academic year.

Clients may make up to two (2) one-hour appointments per week.

Clients need to arrive 5 minutes early for appointments to allow time to check in. If you are late, you may lose your appointment time. If you are not in the center, your writing consultant is obligated to work with students waiting for assistance.

Cancel reservations at least 24 hours in advance. To cancel your appointment, log in to our online scheduler. Click on the appointment you want to cancel. Scroll to the bottom of the window, and check the “Cancel this appointment” box. Then click “Save Changes.”

If you do not cancel, you are considered a “no-show.” After two no-shows in any one semester, you will lose the privilege of scheduling appointments in advance, and any previously scheduled appointments will be canceled.

Writing center consultants will not proofread or edit papers for you; instead, we will help you gain the skills to edit your own work.

Please turn off your cell phone before entering the WC, and be considerate of your writing consultant and others in the center during your appointment.
