Every scholar has one: the work in progress that's been 'in progress' for too long. If you would like some help getting a writing project to the finish line – getting it written, polished up, and in the mail – please sign up for Camp Completion, a week-long writer's retreat right on the UNO campus.
During the week of May 12-16, participants will come together every day in the Writing Center where they will be provided with refreshments, encouragement, willing readers, and five days of uninterrupted time to write.
Pause before sliding into summertime and take a week to wrap up your most important writing task. Clear everything else off your calendar for the week; pull out your notes, outline, or draft; get it finished and check it off your to-do list before Friday afternoon's Completion Celebration. Each day, participants will meet in the Writing Center at 9 a.m., devote the day to writing, and then reconvene in the Writing Center to share accomplishments before wrapping up at 4 p.m. The overall goal is to get writing projects completed. Participants will hold each other accountable and help each other out as they work toward this goal.
Camp Completion is open to faculty only, and the Writing Center is pleased to be able to offer the camp at no cost to participants.
Faculty interested in attending Camp Completion should send an email to Writing Center Director Travis Adams email@example.com. In your email, please include a brief description of the writing project(s) you will work on during the camp and any dietary restrictions.
