Final Billing Due Date for Tuition and Fees Feb. 21
The final billing due date for tuition and fees is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 21.
Students with remaining balances were sent an e-mail via their UNO student e-mail accounts, letting them know of the due date and billing policies, and directing them to view their bill via E-BRUNO at https://ebruno.unomaha.edu/login.html.
If the balance due is not paid on or before the due date, remaining balances are subject to a Late Payment Fee (LPF). LPF amounts are based on the billed amount due. A balance due of $400 or more is subject to a $50 LPF, and a balance of less than $400 is subject to a $25 LPF.
The payment must be received in the UNO Cashiering/Student Accounts Office, 109 Eppley Administration Building, by the due date. For payments that are mailed, please be aware that UNO does not recognize the postmark date as the received date.
A hold will be placed on accounts if there is a balance remaining on the due date. The hold will prevent a student from making any course changes, registering for future terms and receiving transcripts until the balance is paid in full. The UNO Cashiering/Student Accounts Office will remain open until 6 p.m. Feb. 21 for your added convenience.
Students who have paid their balances in full also can view their final zero-balance statement on E-BRUNO. No e-mail was generated to students who have paid in full.
For more information about the billing due dates or policies, call 554.2324, or visit the Web at http://cashiering.unomaha.edu.

Internationally known poet and playwright Sonia Sanchez will be present for the first day of the event.
"We're extremely honored to have Sonia Sanchez at this year's festival," said Peggy Jones, the festival's coordinator and a visiting assistant professor in the UNO Department of Black Studies. "For decades now, she has been an original, serious voice who movingly describes the African-American experience."
The title for this year's festival is "The Black Woman: Past, Present and Future." The two-day event is sponsored by the Nebraska Arts Council and the UNO Department of Black Studies.
Sanchez will give a presentation Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC). ROTC Notes
Jeffrey Stock, an aviation flight major, was selected as the Aerospace Studies 300 Level Cadet of the Year for the 2004-05 academic year. The announcement was made at the National ROTC Commander's Conference. Lt. Col. Ted Spencer was presented with the award and plaque for Stock's superior leadership and academic performance among his peers. Stock has since received a slot to begin pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas. Throughout his three and one-half years in the Air Force ROTC, Stock has amassed a 3.7 GPA along with numerous awards and scholarships, and has been a catalyst for the Detachment, hosting numerous annual Junior ROTC Drill Meets with 15 high schools from four states.
Forty men's and 16 women's ROTC teams met recently at the Notre Dame campus to participate in the 20th annual Fighting Irish Basketball Invitational. The Wolfpack's Eugene Pinckney, John Abueg, Anre Gjere and Mance Martin teamed with six cadets from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to face a weekend of intense competition. Placed in the Sorin Division, the 465/470 team amassed a 71-13 win over Maryland, a 20-point win over Howard University and finished that day's competition with a 22-point win over last year's tournament second-place team, Virginia Tech - Instant Thunder. The court savvy of the Nebraska team landed them a No. 2 seed behind Texas A&M. The team's next match-ups proved more challenging. The first game matched the Nebraska team against the same Virginia Tech team it beat the day before. The Nebraska team earned a five-point victory. The next battle was against the Mountan"EERS" of West Virginia. The EERs squeaked out a one-point victory over the Nebraska team. Overall, the 465/470 Nebraska team finished 5th out of 40 teams. The highlight of the weekend was receiving the Colonel Moe Award for demonstrating the personal qualities that personify all POWs and MIAs.
