The University of Nebraska-Omaha National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (UNO NSSLHA) Chapter is a student organization that helps students gain a greater awareness of the issues that affect the field of speech-language pathology and audiology through guest speakers, volunteer projects, programs at meetings, and various other educational and service based programs. The UNO NSSLHA chapter is an organization devoted to students majoring in speech-language pathology and audiology and the chapter provides many benefits to its members.

The UNO NSSLHA chapter follows the mission statement of NSSLHA:

The mission of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is to benefit its members by continually improving its support, promotion, and advocacy of the highest quality preparation of professionals in audiology, speech-language pathology and speech and hearing science.

UNO NSSLHA provides students the opportunity to network with other students and professionals in the community. Also chapter members get the benefits of two memberships for the price of one. UNO NSSLHA is also a Collegiate Sertoma organization. Sertoma stands for Service to Mankind.
