Dennis Smith, Native American studies, was quoted in the Nov. 30 edition of the Gazette (McCook, Neb.). The article announced the opening of the "Pow Wow Plains Encounter" photography exhibit at McCook Community College.

Pamela Jean Owens, religious studies and Native American studies, was interviewed by Kent Pavelka Dec. 29 on the KKAR morning show. Dr. Owens commented on the question "How can God allow something like the disaster caused by the tsunami to happen?"

Pamela Jean Owens presented a paper on Native American feminist ecclesiology at the November World Council of Churches North American Consultation on Women’s Voices and Visions for the church in Stony Point, NY.
