Dr. Jerry Cederblom, Faculty Coordinator Jerry Cederblom serves as faculty coordinator for the UNO Thompson Learning Community. He is also Chair of the Goodrich Scholarship Program and Professor of Philosophy. He received his B.A. from Whitman College in 1967 and Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate School in 1972, both in philosophy. He received UNO's Excellence in Teaching award in 1991 and the Chancellor’s Medal in 2000. As Chair of the University Committee for the Advancement of Teaching, he helped initiate a program of teaching circles at UNO. He is co-editor (with William Blizek) of Justice and Punishment and author (with Charles Dougherty) of Ethics and Work and (with David Paulsen) of Critical Reasoning, now in its 6th edition. |

Ms. Kellie Pickett, Coordinator Kellie Pickett, Coordinator of the Thompson Learning Program, joined the UNO staff in June 2008. She has worked with college students in leadership, civic engagement, orientation, and admissions throughout her career in higher education. Kellie received her B.A. from Ball State University and her M.S. in College Student Personnel from Miami University. Kellie enjoys working with first year students to promote a successful transition to the university, and looks forward to assisting all Thompson Scholars in being successful at UNO. |

Ms. Susan Wyler, Office Assistant Susan joined the TLC staff in September of 2009. She comes with a varied background from being a florist, realtor, a 911 operator (trainee), and a secretary for engineers, attorneys, and a middle school. Susan and her family relocated to Papillion from Virginia in 2006, and are very happy here. She and her husband, Craig, have three children, Lauren, Eric and Collin; two dogs, a greyhound and a Shih Tzu, and two cats. She enjoys reading, walking, her girlfriends, and chocolate. |

Ms. Andrea Tucker, Graduate Assistant Andrea joined the TLC staff in August 2010. She received her BA in Political Science and History from UNO, and MA in History from Iowa State University in 2008, writing her thesis on the history of Latinos in Valley Junction, Iowa. Andrea started graduate school at UNO in 2010 and is working on her MA in Social Work. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, running, and reading. |

Ms. Sarah Murphy, Advisor Sarah Murphy joined the TLC staff in August 2010. Her professional background includes positions in student leadership and academic advising. Sarah received her B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently working towards an M.A. in Educational Administration. Sarah ensures that TLC students have all of the information and support needed to navigate a successful UNO experience. In her down time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cooking. |
Ms. Katrina Brooks, Advisor My name is Katrina Brooks and I am from Omaha, NE. I attended Northwest High School and graduated in 2003. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I majored in Psychology and graduated in December 2007. I am starting classes to complete my Master's in Jan 2012. In my spare time, I enjoy sleeping, traveling, eating, spending time with family and friends, and overall having fun! Katrina Brooks joined the TLC staff in August 2011. |
