Steps to Graduation

Commencement

Step 1: Apply for graduation online

Once you have reached the final semester in your degree program, you must apply to graduate, which is done through Mavlink. The deadline to apply for May graduation and avoid a late fee is March 1, 2013.

You can still apply for May graduation after the March 1st and an additional fee of $35 will be assessed (the total graduation fee with the late fee is $70). Late applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on April 26, 2013.

Please be aware that by applying late, your name may not appear in the May Commencement Program and you may not be able to obtain the Academic Regalia required for participation in the Commencement Ceremony. Please review the checklist for graduation before you apply.

Step 2: Wait for a letter from the Office of Graduate Studies

All candidates who have applied for graduation will receive a letter from the Office of Graduate Studies detailing the deadlines for finishing all degree requirements. Please refer to this letter for specific information on completing degree requirements. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Graduate Studies, graduate@unomaha.edu or (402)554-2341.
