Events Fall 2006

Voter Registration - September and October - 400 students, faculty, staff and community people were registered during this period. Voter Registration events were held all over campus. Student members from the Pi Gamma Mu, an International Social Science Honorary, as well as students from UNO College Democrats became deputized to register voters and were key to making this a successful project.

These events were held in partnership with UNO's American Democracy Project (ADP). The ADP at UNO seeks to increase the Civic Engagement of its students, staff, faculty and administrators. Its goal is to help fuel the development of an informed and contributing citizenry for the United States in the 21st century. For more information about the ADP at UNO, visit the Web at http://avalon.unomaha.edu/adp/, or contact Paul Sather at 554.3196.
