Teleconferencing: Video
UNO, the Nebraska University and State communication systems have extensive capabilities to support inter campus and intra state video teleconferencing utilizing state-of-the-art video teleconferencing technology.

UNO Video Teleconference Capabilities
Seven (7) conference rooms are equipped to support video teleconferencing. These range in size from a:

  • single monitor room capable that can accommodate 6 to 8 people
  • dual monitor rooms capable of handling up to 50 people

Multiple Parties/Sites
Several of the UNO systems can conference up to 4 distinct locations simultaneously. If a larger grouping is a requirement, UNO Telecom will coordinate with either University of Nebraska Lincoln or University of Nebraska Medical Center for the use of their Multi Conference Units (MCU). The MCU can handle up to 24 discrete video teleconferencing sites.

Portable Video Teleconference Units
If an existing video teleconferencing room is not available and/or a special need exists, UNO has two (2) mobile video teleconference units that can be used anywhere on campus that has both power and network access.
