Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the Technical Communication website.
The Graduate Certficate in Technical Communication prepares students with core competencies in writing, editing, and designing of technical documents. This certificate is available from either the Department of English in the College of Arts and Sciences or the School of Communication now housed in the new College of Communication, Fine Art, and Media.

Dr. Tracy Bridgeford
Program Director
Since approved in August 2003, the Technical Communication program and curriculum has grown steadily. The program has accepted 20 applicants, with the first six students (two from the School of Communication and four from the Department of English) of the program receiving their certificates past May (2006).
Currently, we are in the process of proposing an undergraduate minor in Technical Communciation and a certificate-in-course. This 18-credit minor will include the five core courses as well as an internship or project.
We are very excited about the possibilities the Technical Communication program offers to students in both the humanities and the sciences. As a core or complementary curriculum, we think the program offers students exciting and current opportunities entering their choosen markets.
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to chat with you.
