For Osvaldo Perez, there's nothing like the feeling he gets at the beginning of every semester. "To me, it's really a motivating time to be on campus."

The California native has found lots of motivation as he tackles a double major in accounting and international management and business, and a minor in Chicano ⁄ Latino studies and Spanish. He hopes to put his education to work in an international accounting and auditing firm.

Until then, he's getting the background he needs in the classroom and through hands-on training in his area of interest. He landed an internship with Mutual of Omaha, working in the Medicare audit and reimbursement department. "I'm getting to be part of a corporate environment ahead of time to see how departments work and how people work together."
