Giving Voice.
Marcos Mora is part entrepreneur, part musician and part Renaissance man.
A 1999 graduate of UNO, he helped found ABM Enterprises Inc. to address a growing need to disseminate information to the Spanish-speaking population in the Omaha metro area. The company produced Nebraska's first Spanish Yellow Pages. This publication was followed by the Midwest's first bilingual magazine and a unique shopper-style newspaper.
When he isn't busy connecting the city's Spanish-speaking residents with the information they seek, Mora can be found teaching mariachi music to local youth, performing as a rhythm and lead guitarist, or managing a host of special events.
"The Latino population is a vital part of the city and state, and its voice needs to be heard," he said.
