Lynn Harland is teaching people how to lead.
Dr. Harland, associate professor and chair of the UNO Department of Marketing and Management in the College of Business Administration, is helping her students navigate the intricacies of leadership development, organizational behavior and organizational theory.
"Our graduate students are top notch – hardworking, intelligent, fun and dedicated," she said. "Thanks to our metropolitan location, my MBA students can work in highly challenging jobs and then attend a great MBA program at night or, in the case of the EMBA program, on the weekends."
A member of the UNO faculty since 1989, Dr. Harland values its collective commitment to teaching, scholarship and service excellence – on and off campus. She cites the MBA program's recent curriculum revision and the development of UNO's first multi-disciplinary graduate certificate in human resources and training as evidence of the business college's emphasis on creating graduates who are ready to face the challenges of working in an evolving global environment.
