It's not every day that a new college is born.

July 1, 2005, marked the debut of the College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media at UNO. This strategic move united UNO's existing School of Communication, radio station and television station with the College of Fine Arts.

The resulting synergy is paying dividends for students, faculty, staff and the metropolitan area.

Today, the college's programs in art history, communication, creative writing, music, studio arts and theatre allow students to pursue artistic expression, performance, print and broadcast journalism, forensics, speech, advertising and public relations. Its nationally known faculty of artists, performers and scholars provide innovative instruction in small, informal classroom settings.

Simply put, it's the new home of creative expression at UNO.
