The Division of Continuing Studies’ (DCS) Bachelor of General Studies Degree Scholarships
DCS is one of the most popular degree programs for military and veteran students. Below is a list of scholarships offered by DCS.
Military Spouse Scholarship
The scholarship is open to all non-military spouses of active duty military personnel (including spouses of Guard/Reserve on active duty orders) in the University of Nebraska at Omaha Bachelor of General Studies degree. Recipients of this scholarship may receive up to $1,000 to be credited to their account towards tuition and fees. A combination of merit and need will be considered in selecting the scholarship recipient(s). Find more information here.
Bachelor of General Studies Textbook Scholarship and Fee Support Scholarship
These scholarships are for active duty military and their families stationed at Offutt Air Force Base who wish to apply. Applicants for the textbook scholarship must be admitted UNO students pursuing a Bachelor of General Studies degree. Applicants for both must not be receiving additional financial aid support (VA benefits/Pell Grant, etc.). Find more information here.
Wounded Veterans Scholarship
The University of Nebraska at Omaha Wounded Veterans Scholarship is available to veterans and spouses of veterans that were wounded in combat during Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn, and are retired or separated from active service. This scholarship can help you or your spouse earn a college degree. Those with a DoD disability rating of 30% or higher and/or a combined VA rating of 50% or higher meet the criteria for the scholarship. Find more information here.
