The Division of Continuing Studies’ (DCS) Bachelor of General Studies Degree Scholarships
DCS is one of the most popular degree programs for military and veteran students. Below is a list of scholarships offered by DCS.
Military Spouse Scholarship
The scholarship is open to all non-military spouses of active duty military personnel (including spouses of Guard/Reserve on active duty orders) in the University of Nebraska at Omaha Bachelor of General Studies degree. Recipients of this scholarship may receive up to $1,000 to be credited to their account towards tuition and fees. A combination of merit and need will be considered in selecting the scholarship recipient(s).
Note: This scholarship will not be available for the Fall 2015 semester. Please check back for the Spring 2016 semester.
Bachelor of General Studies Fee Support Scholarship
This scholarship is for active duty military and their families stationed at Offutt Air Force Base who wish to apply. The Textbook Scholarship is not available for Fall 2015. The application for the Fee Support Scholarship can be found here. Please check back in the Spring 2016 semester for the Textbook Scholarship availability.
Wounded Veterans Scholarship
The University of Nebraska at Omaha Wounded Veterans Scholarship is available to veterans and spouses of veterans that were wounded in combat during Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn, and are retired or separated from active service. This scholarship can help you or your spouse earn a college degree. Those with a DoD disability rating of 30% or higher and/or a combined VA rating of 50% or higher meet the criteria for the scholarship. Find more information here.
