IRB Education Series Announced for UNO

Associate Vice Chancellor Scott Snyder and UNO's Office of Research and Creative Activity have coordinated with the UNMC/UNO Institutional Review Board to develop a spring semester IRB Education Series for the UNO community. The series provides a great way for faculty, staff and students who are involved or interested in human subject research to understand and navigate the IRB process.

The series kicks off on Thursday, January 31, with a presentation by Joe Brown, UNO Professor of Psychology and Vice Chair of the UNMC/UNO Institutional Review Board, who will share insights regarding "Recruitment and Compensation for Research Subjects: What is Ethical." The series continues with monthly presentations in February, March, and April and features speakers who will discuss various human subject research topics.

All sessions will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm in UNO's Milo Bail Student Center, Gallery Room. Pizza and beverages will be provided.

See the attached flyer for the schedule of presentations and for registration information.

Please note: UNO is not handling registration for these sessions. Attendees must register directly with IRB via the link on the flyer.

We hope you will join us for these interesting and informative sessions.
