The use of human subjects, vertebrate animals or biohazards must be approved by the appropriate compliance committee. Researchers must complete compliance training prior to protocol approval.
UNO has recently developed a Responsible Conduct of Research policy in direct response to the NSF requirement such training be provided for all students (graduate and undergraduate) and post-docs supported by NSF funds. This policy will very likely evolve in response to both internal and external needs and mandates. If you have questions please contact the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity at UNO.
