Welcome.
The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research serves as a focal point through which external support for research, scholarship, public service and creative activities is institutionally promoted, reviewed and approved.
What We Do:
Changes in applying to the National Science Foundation (NSF)
NSF guidelines have changed for all NSF proposals submitted on/after January 14, 2013. Visit this link for full details. Please contact us with questions and for assistance in applying to the NSF.
Nebraska Arts Council Announcement:
Effective immediately, the Nebraska Arts Council (NAC) has revised its grants categories, as well as migrated all applications to a new on-line application system. Any previous log-in information you may have used will no longer be valid for their new eGRANT system. If you are planning a submission to the NAC, please contact SPR before you begin the registration process. We will provide the official institutional information (required before you are able to log into new system) and help get you started on the path to submitting your grant application.
The UNO internal processes for submission of a proposal to an external sponsor have not changed. We in the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research will work with you to develop your budget and assist with your electronic submission. We will also obtain institutional approval before the submission is made on your behalf by the Board of Regents, University of Nebraska.
If you will be submitting, please contact SPR and let us know how we can help. We look forward to working with you on your pursuits for external funding.
