Professional Research
Professor Marshall's research focuses on human identity as it relates to work in public agencies. He has been published in leading academic journals such as Public Administration Review, the American Review of Public Administration, and The American Behavioral Scientist. Professor Marshall's most recent article is entitled: "Commanded to Enjoy: The Waning of Traditional Authority in Public Administration" published in Administrative Theory & Praxis.
Professional Activities
Professor Marshall is a long time member of the American Society for Public Administration and the Public Administration Theory Network. Professor Marshall is co-editor of the Lacanian Compass and a member of the Circle for the Lacanian Orientation in Omaha (CLOO). He is also a Senior Fellow of the University's Institute for Collaboration Science.
