Mary Lee Tisdale

Biography
Mary Lee Tisdale has been with the School of Social Work since 1994.
She received her business certificate from Mankato Business College in
Mankato, Minnesota, and has extensive administrative support experience,
including the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Educational
Support Services, where she worked prior to the School of Social Work
(from 1990-1994).
Job Responsibilities
As Admissions Secretary for the School of Social Work, Mary Lee coordinates
and oversees the admissions process for all programs: the BSSW Undergraduate
Program, MSW Foundation and Advanced Programs, Dual Degree Program, and
Off-Campus MSW Program (at UN-K).
In addition to her admissions responsibilities, Mary Lee maintains accounting
and expense accounts, e-mail list serve communication for both current
students and alumni of the School, and current enrollment records for
approximately 300 students (including student grades, concentrations,
demographics, courses, deficiencies, correspondence, brochures, directories,
orientations, and qualification for scholarships).
Activities and Interests
Mary Lee is active within the Omaha community, and within her circles
of friends and family. She boasts a wonderful husband (Fred), two daughters
and sons-in-law, and five fabulous grandchildren!
Mary Lee participates in the Welcoming Committee of her Neighborhood
Association and bible study, volunteers for the American Legion Post #1,
lectors masses and co-coordinates her church’s Garden Ministry.
Mary Lee also enjoys dancing, reading, playing bridge, gardening, and
walking.
