- Carter Grants for Community-Campus Collaboration
The Service-Learning Academy has been selected to present two grants from the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Partnership Foundation.
In the spring of 2008, two students will receive funding to develop or substantially enhance a parnership between the University and a community nonprofit organization. These grants, sponsored by the W. K. Kellogg foundation, aim to foster academic service-learning at American institutions of higher education.

More than 200 volunteers from UNO, Omaha North High School, and Marrs Middle School worked October 20, 22, and 23 to improve facilities at Girls Inc., the Malcolm X home site, City Sprouts, and the Child Saving Institute. Please watch our collection of local news video reports.
