VIOLATIONS AND FINES/PENALTIES
- The following are violations of University Parking and Traffic Rules andRegulationsn notices will be issued. The violations and penalties are as follows:

1. Use of counterfeit permit or an unauthorized facsimile of a parking permit. |

2. Obtaining a parking permit under false pretenses/or falsifying a parking permit application andparking on campus with a stolen parking permit. In addition, individuals found with stolen parking permitsin their possession will be restricted from parking on campus for one semester, or an equivalent periodof time. |

3. Unauthorized removal, attempting to remove, tampering with or damaging a Rhino Boot, ormoving the vehicle with the Rhino Boot attached. The owner/operator will be assessed the amountnecessary to repair a damaged Rhino Boot, missing or damaged padlocks, or Rhino Boot parts, or to replace a Rhino Boot. |

4. Unauthorized handicap stall/blocking handicap access. |

5. Parking in a parking lot or space not authorized. |

6. Over-time parking in a restricted area or space regulated by a time limit. |

7. Unauthorized reserved stall. |

8. Parked in an area not specifically designated as a parking area for motor vehicles(on grass orlawn, sidewalk or crosswalk, blocking driveways to traffic movement, or no parking area.) |

10. All moving violations: |

a. Failure to yield to pedestrians.

b. Speeding.

c. Failure to stop at a stop sign or by Officer's direction.

d. Driving in a reckless manner (or failure to operate a vehicle in a reasonable and prudentmanner).

e. Driving wrong-way on a one-way street or roadway.

11. No parking permit or authorization (Temporary Permit) to use parking facilities. |

13. Parking on campus over 24 hours without permission from the Campus Security Department. |
- Owners or operators of vehicles towed from the campus due to a parkingviolation will be liable for payment of all towing and storage fees charged by the towing companyremoving any such vehicle from the campus.
- Payment of Penalties and Fees
- All violation penalties and/or fees become delinquent if not paid after 14 calendar days following thedate of issuance of the violation (excluding University Holidays).
- Any vehicle with two or more unpaid violation notices which become delinquent, will be immobilizedby the Campus Security Department using a Rhino Boot and will not be released until all outstandingpenalties and fees are paid. The owner/operator of such vehicle is responsible for the costs ofimmobilization, violation penalties, and towing and storage fees if applicable.
- Immobilized vehicles on campus after 10:00 p.m. daily will be removed by local tow company andheld until all outstanding penalties, fees, tow charges, and storage fees are paid.
- Students with any outstanding violations will be placed on stop enrollment and will be required topay all outstanding violations prior to registering for classes.
- Individuals who STOP PAYMENT or who fail to satisfy payment or parking permit fees orfines, because of insufficient funds or no account, etc., will be automatically placed on theTOW/RHINO BOOT list, and will be required to pay CASH to satisfy the outstandingamount of the check and additional violation penalties or fees.
- Payment of violation penalties and fees may be made in person at the Campus Security Office,Room 100, Eppley Administration Building. Office hours: 6:00 a.m.-10:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, and6:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday.
