TRAFFIC REGULATIONS

  1. Faculty, Staff, Students, and Visitors are expected to know and comply withthe State Motor Vehicle Laws, Traffic Ordinances of the City of Omaha and the University of Nebraska atOmaha Traffic and Parking Regulations.

  2. The maximum speed limit on the perimeter access road is 25 m.p.h., all other campusroads and drives 15 m.p.h. and 10 m.p.h. in all parking lots.

  3. Pedestrians shall be given the right-of-way at all crosswalks or when in compliance withexisting traffic controls.

  4. Driving motor vehicles on campus walks, lawns, or areas not specifically designated as aroadway is prohibited.

  5. Operators of motor vehicles shall comply with all traffic signs, Yield, Stop, etc., or thedirection of a Campus Security Officer.

  6. Operating a motor vehicle without due caution or in a manner so as to endanger or likely toendanger any person or property is prohibited and could result in a Violation Notice forReckless Driving.

  7. No parking is permitted on University Drive. Due to the vehicular and pedestrian trafficcongestion, the speed limit on University Drive is restricted to 25 m.p.h. Violation notices will be issuedfor infractions of the 25 m.p.h. speed limit.
