STUDENT PARKING

  1. STUDENT: The term ‘student’ refers to anyone who is currently enrolled (registered) for classes held on or off the UNO Campus, either part or full-time, whether or not it leads to an academic degree.
  2. Individuals who work for the University as student workers and are registered for classes are considered students.
  3. Students desiring to park at the UNO Dodge or Pacific location must purchase and display a valid parking permit.
  4. Student parking areas are designated by parking lot signs red in color. Specific student lots are as follows: Lots A, D, F, H, K, N, O, T, V, X, St. Margaret Mary’s Church lot (West area, East/West Drive south of the church unless otherwise posted), First Christian Church lot (West area) and lots 2, 5, 6, 7 (West portion) and 9 at the Pacific location.
  5. Students are restricted to student lots from 7:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After 1:30 p.m., vehicles bearing valid parking permits may park in Student lots and designated Faculty/Staff lots as follows: G, H, M, Q, S and X.
  6. After 8:00 p.m., vehicles bearing valid parking permits may park in designated Faculty/Staff lots E, R, W and lot 4 at the Pacific location.
  7. Students with “Night Only” parking permits may park on Campus after 12:30 p.m. in student parking lots and designated Faculty/Staff lots after 1:30 p.m. as specified above. If you need to come on campus before 12:30 p.m., you may park in the First Christian Church parking lot, Shuttle parking at the Pacific location (see Shuttle Parking ) or stop by the Campus Security Department and obtain a Temporary Parking Permit to allow your vehicle on campus prior to 12:30 p.m.
  8. Graduate Teaching Assistants may apply for G.T.A. parking privileges. G.T.A. permits are restricted to Faculty/Staff lots only.
  9. Parking on campus is a privilege, not a right. UNO parking permits do not guarantee spaces on campus at any time during the day or evening. Failure to abide by these parking regulations may cause revocation of parking privileges on campus.
  10. All permits expire August 15 unless otherwise noted on the permit.
  11. Student permit fees are due and payable at the time the permit is issued.
  12. Student permit fee refunds: Student and G.T.A. parking fee refunds will be made on annual permits only, within the first two weeks of the effective date of the permit or date of purchase, whichever is later at a ratio of 75% of the original fee. To be eligible for a refund, the individual must return the permit (or a scraped portion thereof) to Campus Security and complete a request for refund. Any outstanding violations will be deducted from the refund.
