2007-2008 PARKING REGULATIONS

INTRODUCTION

The University of Nebraska at Omaha, through the Board of Regents, is authorized toestablish Traffic and Parking regulations and to provide penalties for infractions.

It is the function of the UNO Campus Security Department to administer and enforce all trafficand parking regulations on properties owned, leased, and/or contracted for use by theBoard of Regents of the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Written suggestions regarding parking should be forwarded to the Manager of Campus Security forconsideration.

The Campus Security Department, in an effort to assist the University Community, provides the following services free of charge:

  1. *Jump-starting stalled vehicles.
  2. *Opening of vehicles when owner/operator has locked the keys inside.
  3. *Changing flat tires when the vehicle owner/operator is physically unable.
*Vehicle assists are done for vehicles on campus only.
  1. Fingerprint applicants for local, State, Federal positions, and children of Faculty, Staff, Students and Alumni for the benefit of parents should the child become missing.
  2. Escort persons at their request while on campus.
  3. Personal Safety Checks. Individuals who may be working alone, outside normal working hours are encouraged to contact Campus Security. Security Officers will periodically check on your safety while you are on campus.
  4. Operation Identification - engravers available to mark your personal items to assist in recovering stolen items.
  5. Copies of theft/personal injury reports furnished for insurance purposes.
  6. Deliver Emergency Messages.

The Campus Security Department is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri., and 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sat. The office is staffed 24 hours daily. Campus Security Officers are on patrol 24 hours daily. Call 554-2648 or use the Hot-Line Information Telephone located in the South foyer of the Eppley Administration Building after normal business hours for assistance. To report an Emergency call 4-2911 or use one of the Emergency Telephones located throughout campus (see the Dodge Location Map and the Pacific Location Map for locations).
