How to Report Emergencies and Non-Emergencies
Report an Emergency to Public Safety
Emergencies requiring police, fire or medical aid should be reported by calling Public Safety at 402.554.2911. Blue light emergency phones are located throughout campus and may be activated by simply pushing a button. This will connect you with a Public Safety dispatcher who will provide assistance.
Report a Non-Emergency to Public Safety
Non-emergency calls may be reported by calling Public Safety’s main desk at 402.554.2648. Threatening behavior should be reported to UNO Public Safety as soon as possible. You can also use U-Tip to report suspicious activity or a concern.
Public Safety is responsible for keys and card access additions/revocations for personnel, adjusting electronic door schedules, monitoring alarmed areas, and assisting the university in its access control needs.
Lost and Found
Public Safety maintains the university's lost and found system. Items are kept for 30 days and then donated to charity or destroyed. Contact us at 402.554.2776 to inquire about lost items.
