Department of Psychology

undergraduate program.

There are two avenues by which a student may complete an undergraduate major in Psychology. The first leads to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and is intended for those seeking a broad, liberal arts education. The second path leads to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and is a more rigorous, challenging program of study. Both programs emphasize training and hands-on experience in the research process, centered on a four-course sequence capped by a small class laboratory in one of six areas: learning, cognition, development, sensation and perception, behavioral neuroscience, or animal behavior.

For a detailed list of requirements for the B.A., B.S., the minor or to link to the course catalog to get a description of our classes click on the tabs to the left.
