Conservation The preserves consist of remnant and restored tallgrass prairie, oak woodland, prairie-wetland, and stream habitat and serve to protect the biological diversity of these disappearing resources. Education & Outreach The preserves serve as outdoor classrooms for students and faculty at UNO and are open to use by educational institutions at all levels (preschool-graduate school). Visits to the preserves by individuals and groups are welcome. For more information about educational opportunities, visiting or scheduling a tour, see our Visit page. Research Unique research facilities and opportunities for faculty and students at UNO and other educational institutions are available at the preserves. What's Happening >>May 17, 2013: Thanks to the efforts of numerous volunteers, we were able to conduct our first prescribed burn at T.L. Davis Preserve.
