why is strategic planning important?

The strategic planning process is about planning, setting goals and developing an approach to achieve those goals.  In the context of UNO, it is a way to plan out how to achieve our goals of being student-centered, achieving academic excellence, and actively engaging with the urban, regional, national, and global communities.
