A past recient of the DAAD and Japan Foundation Grants, he regularly teaches Kant and German Idealism, Eastasian philosophy and the history of Jewish philosophy. His first book Kant and the Foundations of Morality (2013) comes from Lexington Books and he is now working on his second (Universals in Early Modern Philosophy) and the third (Introduction to Korean Philosophy). He has also edited the anthology (together with Steve Hoeltzel), Kant, Fichte and the Legacy of Transcendental Idealism (Lexington, forthcoming).
