A Smithsonian "Earth from Space" exhibit remains on display through Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Criss Library Gallery. "Earth from Space" presents dozens of detailed satellite images on vivid free-standing banners and reveals the awesome beauty of the planet's surface through the "eyes" of a space satellite. The exhibit explains how remote sensing is used to expand scientists understanding of life on Earth and introduces the technologies scientists use to gather this astonishing imagery.
