Nebraska Business Development Center to Offer Two-Day Public Speaking, Presentation Course
Omaha - This October, the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC), located on the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) campus, will offer high-level training to help business leaders with one of the most important skills to have in the workplace – public speaking.
A two-day course in Dale Carnegie Training, titled “High Impact Presentations,” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 30, and Thursday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Dale Carnegie Training is globally recognized for its ability to achieve results.
After competing the program, participants will be able to:
- Create a positive first impression - Increase credibility
- Present complex information
- Communicate with greater impact
- Motivate others to actions
- Respond to pressure situations
- Inspire people to embrace change
Instructors for the course are Ken Knutson, managing director of Leadership Training Institute, Inc. and Duane Salonen, president of Leadership Training Institute Inc. Knutson has been a certified Dale Carnegie instructor since 2004 and Salonen has graduated over 7,000 students through Dale Carnegie courses.
The NBDC is offering registration at $1,495, a significantly reduced price from the normal $2,000 charge for the course. The course is open to any and all business and government professionals.
