NBDC Hosts Workshop to Help Businesses Take Products to Market
Omaha - The Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) is offering a new workshop on Friday, July 26, to help businesses get their products to the market more quickly.
This intensive, half-day workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Mammel Hall, home to the NBDC and the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) College of Business Administration (CBA). The focus will be the methods and principles of Lean Product Development, or LPD.
The classes will be run by is Ed Maier, a Lean-certified master instructor and business growth coach. With over 30 years of experience in product development, Maier provides real-world examples of the topics discussed as part of the workshop.
LPD strategies are used to help companies overcome issues including: time to market; portfolio management; design and development resource; and new product cost challenges. Participants will examine their product development activities and process through eight “lenses” of best-in-class LPD methods. Each lens is supported by a real-world case example of a successful LPD implementation.
“This half-day class is recommended for anyone that is willing to learn a basic understanding of Lean Product Development as a means to grow your current business,” said Renee Held, an NBDC consultant on LPD certification. “Participants will learn to develop a forward thinking method to grow their business by creating opportunities to enter new markets.”
The goal of the workshop is to have participants focus on their companies’ shortcomings and demonstrate that methods and tools are available to make rapid and significant improvements.
Cost to attend the workshop is $299, which covers up to five attendees for one organization. To purchase, visit this link.
