UNO to Host Racquetball Tournament May 18

Omaha - While many are tuned to the NBA and NHL playoffs, another kind of tournament will be going on in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) building on the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) campus – a racquetball tournament.

Some of the best players in Nebraska will be on hand Saturday, May 18, for the tournament, which is being organized by UNO’s Racquetball club.

The tournament will begin at 10:30 a.m. on May 18. Participants will compete in five categories: Men’s, Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Women’s and Women’s Doubles. Each category is separated into divisions of “Open,” “A,” “B” and “C.”

Cost to attend is $25 for adults for the first event and $10 for a second event. Cost for students is $10 for the first event and $5 for the second event. Interested participants must register by Monday, May 13.

Prizes will be awarded to division winners. Breakfast and lunch will be served for participating players.
