UNO Music Faculty to Perform Holiday Songs Dec. 10
Omaha - On Monday, Dec. 10, the University of Nebraska at Omaha invites you to celebrate the holidays, with members of UNO’s music faculty providing the soundtrack.
UNO’s Faculty Brass Quintet, along with percussionist Scott Shinbara, will present “Christmas to the Beat of a Different Drummer” at the Strauss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall, located on UNO’s Dodge Street campus, beginning at 7 p.m.
The program, which includes faculty members performing on the trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba, will feature holiday carols, jazz renditions of Christmas classics and original arrangements by members of the ensemble. Tickets for the concert are $10 for the general public and $5 for students or seniors. Faculty, staff and students can use their MavCard to get in for free.
