Governor to Speak at PKI Lecture Series
Omaha - Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman will serve as the featured speaker for a University of Nebraska Peter Kiewit Institute Distinguished Lecture Series event set for Oct. 23 at the Durham Museum, 801 S. 10th St. The lecture begins at 5 p.m. The title of Heineman’s speech is “Leadership that Counts.”
In addition to his role as governernor, Heineman also served as Chairman of the National Governors Association during 2011-12. He became governor in 2005 when Mike Johanns resigned the governorship to become U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. Heineman was re-elected in 2006 and 2010.
“The governor’s thoughts on leadership are important,” said Mike McGinnis, PKI director. “His lecture is one that all of us at PKI are looking forward to."
The lecture is free and open to the public. Business attire is expected.
