Student Radio Station to Host Zombie Walk, Bake Sale on Halloween

Omaha - UNOMAVRADIO, the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s student-run radio station, will host its first MAVster Mash, featuring a “Zombie Walk” and “The Walking Bread” bake sale.

The MAVster Mash will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 31 on the plaza outside of the Milo Bail Student Center from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The “Zombie Walk” mimics a cake walk, but cake will not be the only prize. There will be many more great giveaways such as free movie tickets, food and gift cards. There will be several rounds and multiple winners.

Coinciding with the zombie walk will be the “The Walking Bread” bake sale, which will feature baked goods from cookies to popcorn balls. UNOMAVRADIO is a student-run radio station that broadcasts inside and outside of the UNO campus.

UNOMAVRADIO strives to enrich the UNO and Omaha communities by engaging, informing and entertaining through means that go beyond programming. To listen to UNOMAVRADIO live, visit www.mavradio.blogspot.com. For more information, contact Jodeane Brownlee at jbrownlee@unomaha.edu.
