UNO Health & Wellness Fair Set for Nov. 1

Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Health & Wellness Fair has been set for Thursday, Nov. 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building (HPER) 128 on UNO's Dodge Street Campus.

The fair is presented by Noodles & Company, UNO Health Services and UNO Campus Recreation as part of its ongoing effort to inform, educate and empower the campus community to adapt a healthier lifestyle. The fair will feature an affordable blood draw, free screenings, free chair massages, more than 50 vendors, demonstrations, door prizes and much more.

Returning this year will be the UNO Health & Wellness Fair Blood Drive, hosted in cooperation with the American Red Cross. Donors can sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org.

UNO faculty, staff and students can sign up for the health screen blood draw ($30), health screen plus PSA ($45) hemoglobin A1C screen ($15), Vitamin D ($30) and HS-CRP screen ($30) at Health Services. The full list of screen and explanations of each one can be found on the Health & Wellness Fair website.

A 12-hour fast is required for all lab work, and everyone must pre-register for all lab work. UNO faculty and staff can pay for the blood draw and lab work by payroll deduction. Registration begins Monday, Oct. 1.
