NBDC to Host Intellectual Property Workshop Oct. 11, 12

Omaha - The Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC), a department of the College of Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), will present a special workshop on intellectual property on Thursday, Oct. 11 and Friday, Oct. 12 at the Thompson Alumni Center on the UNO campus.

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, intellectual property theft costs U.S. companies $250 billion each year. Since many company’s intellectual property is more valuable than physical assets, the NBDC encourages everyone from small business owners to innovators and researchers to participate.

The Oct. 11 sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Oct. 12 sessions run from 8:30 to noon.

Admission to the workshop, which includes continental breakfast, lunch and informational materials, is $25.

Registration must take place online at http://www.nbdc.unomaha.edu/SBIRworks, but payments can be made over the phone at 402.554.2521 or by check the day of the event.
