White House Reps to Visit UNO
Omaha - Representatives from the White House will visit the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) campus next week.
On Tuesday, April 3, from 3 to 7 p.m., in the UNO Milo Bail Student Center’s Nebraska Room the White House Office of Public Engagement will host an open forum, called “The White House Young America Series,” to discuss issues critical to young Americans and try and identify solutions. UNO's Student Government is helping organize the event.
These conferences, which are being held across the country this spring, are designed to connect Obama Administration officials with young community, civic, non-profit and business leaders. The conference will feature an innovative open space dialogue that allows you to work together with other participants to define the agenda and shape the format.
All UNO students are welcome to have their voice heard by this country’s decision leaders. Refreshments will also be provided.
For any questions, please contact Jenny Beernink at (402) 554.2285 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.

The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is Nebraska’s metropolitan university. The core values of the institution place students at the center of all that the university does; call for the campus to strive for academic excellence; and promote community engagement that transforms and improves urban, regional, national and global life. UNO, inaugurated in 1968, emerged from the Municipal University of Omaha, established in 1931, which grew out of the University of Omaha founded in 1908.
