Dual Enrollment to Host Hockey Night for Program Participants
Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) Dual Enrollment program is once again sponsoring a special night of hockey for its students, as well as their families, teachers and school administrators.
In conjunction with the Maverick hockey team’s series with the University of Minnesota on Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25, at the CenturyLink Center Omaha, UNO’s Dual Enrollment program will sponsor a pre-game tailgate and provide game-day tickets for Saturday’s game.
The tailgate, which runs from 5 to 7 p.m., will feature several dozen booths for many of UNO’s colleges and departments, as well as free food and giveaways. After the tailgate, which will be held at the CentryLink Center Omaha’s Junior Ballroom, in the convention center portion of the building, participants will walk over to the arena to watch the hockey team take on Minnesota with a 7:07 p.m. start time.
The event, which has existed since the mid-2000s, is open only to Dual Enrollment participants, their immediate families and participating UNO departments and colleges.
Students who plan to participate can reserve up to four hockey tickets and two parking passes.
Reservations should be made for the event no later than Monday, Feb. 20 by contacting Megan Schmitz at email@example.com or by phone at (402) 554.2855. Students can also text “UNODual” to 55678.
When reserving a spot, please indicate your first and last name; the name of your high school; your home address; a number where you can be reached; the number of tickets you need; and the number of parking passes.
The CenturyLink Center Omaha is located at 455 N. 10th St. in downtown Omaha.
