UNO Senior Showcases Photography on Metro Bus
Omaha - Allison Claire Jeppesen, a senior in the Art and Art History Department at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), is using public transportations to transport her art from the studio into the public.
For one week, Dec. 8 – 15, Jeppesen’s photographs will be traveling through the city inside Omaha Metro bus No. 1105. Jeppesen is a trained photographer whose work explores the contemplative power of natural imagery.
The project, called “Portable Prints,” is an exhibition designed to bring art that is typically displayed in galleries or museums into the public sphere for all to enjoy. By utilizing unique public venues like a city bus, Jeppesen says she hopes to make the commuting experience comparable to visiting a museum like the Joslyn.
For more information about Jeppesen or the “Portable Prints” project, please contact Professor David Helm at (402) 544.2207 or by email at email@example.com. Jeppesen can also be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
