UNO Celebrates International Education Week

Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will celebrate International Education Week Friday, Nov. 11, to Friday, Nov. 18. The weeklong celebration is a worldwide event promoted by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education since 2000.

Events across campus and in the community will highlight the university’s global connections and the students from more than 120 countries who study at UNO.

The fun begins the evening of Nov. 11 with an International Dance Party in the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom and continue through the following week with globally-themed events.

Additionally, the UNO food court will serve international cuisine and on the first floor of the student center, display tables will feature the home countries of UNO’s largest international student groups: Japan, India, China, Saudi Arabia and The Republic of Korea.
