Divas of Diversity Drag Show is Oct. 12

Omaha - Maverick Productions will host the Divas of Diversity – featuring Shangela – in the Milo Bail Student Center Nebraska Room at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Free food will be available for attendees.

The Divas of Diversity presentation features a sharing of stories of discrimination and acceptance, a powerful drag show performance and time for questions and answers.

The presentation encourages young people to come together to be educated, inspired and to create a conversation on their campus and in their community that embraces and supports differences.

Shangela is the featured diva for the Oct. 12 presentation. She has appeared on RuPaul's "Drag Race," the FX series "Terriers" and the ABC drama "Detroit 187." She has performed a variety of comedy shows, and has appeared in the short film "Brody of a Barbie" on BET.

Contact Maverick Productions, located in the Student Organizations and Leadership Programs office located on the first floor of Milo Bail Student Center, or call (402) 554-2623 more information.
