UNO Theatre Presents The Government Inspector

Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Department of Theatre presents the comedy The Government Inspector, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original by Nikolai Gogol.

The Government Inspector is directed by Doug Paterson.

Previews run Sept. 28-29, with performances Sept. 30- Oct. 1 and Oct. 12-15 in the UNO Theatre, located inside the Weber Fine Arts Building.

The house opens at 7 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. curtain for all performances. The preview on Sept. 28 will be a TAG Night Out.

The Government Inspector offers audiences a unique, local twist on a classic period satirical farce. When Omaha locals in the Nebraska Territory in 1861 learn that an undercover government inspector is coming for a surprise visit, a comedic case of mistaken identity sends the town spiraling into a world of panic and greed.

Witty, smart and wildly satirical, The Government Inspector exposes the corruption of a provincial town with biting hilarity.
