HPER Students Honored at Banquet

Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER), a member of UNO’s College of Education, recently recognized dozens of students at its HPER Student Banquet, held on April 30.

Many students were honored in areas such as “Campus Recreation Employee of the Year”; recipients were given their “Honors Convocation” awards, “University Committee Research" grants and scholarships; and many were recognized for their service to the community and to UNO.

The event featured a pasta buffet, slide show and tour of HPER’s new facilities for each of the students’ families.

The evening’s event was made possible by donations from area organizations that offered one-of-a-kind items for a silent auction used to raise funds to continue support of HPER’s student organizations and provide for future banquets.

For a full list of award categories and students honored, please vist the HPER website or contact Stacy Sliva at ssliva@unomaha.edu or 402.554.2761. For information on HPER or Campus Recreation, please contact Ashley Bails at abails@unomaha.edu or 402.554.3917.
